  HAONA - celeberated Deepavali Mela

On 06th November 2005, Hindu Awareness Organization of North America has successfully celebrated Deepavali festival with a ‘Mela’ or fun fair. On this festive occasion Hindu Information and Services Centre was also opened at 8887 The Gore Road, Jaipur Gore Plaza in Brampton. Large number of Hindus and Sikhs of Greater Toronto Area took pride and attended this festival with their families and friends. Despite of unfavorable weather there was a great turnout, approximately 1200 people attended this event.

Everyone enjoyed free admission, food, balloons and three hours of non stop entertainment programme. The programme started with the Canadian National Anthem followed by Indian National Anthem, Vande Mataram and Maa Shree Sarasvati Vandana. Local artists gave a brilliant performance and there were a lot of dances performed by children.
