  Hindus hold protest against ACT for insulting God and Goddesses:

On June 11th, 2005, Hindu Awareness Organization of North America, staged a protest in front of AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) at 399 Church Street, Toronto. This protest was held to condemn the blatant and shameless display of degrading and pornographic images and icons of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, at an Aids Awareness fund raising event held last Saturday, June 4th, 2005 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre.   HAONA - Celeberated Deepavali Mela

  HAONA Opened Hinduisim Information Center:

Hindu Awareness Organization of North America has also fulfilled one of their objective by inaugurating Hindu Information and Services Centre. Our sincere thanks to Jeff Lal. This centre will provide correct information about Hindus. There will be a library built to teach Hindu way of life via Vedas and other religious books to provide education and awareness. This centre will also help Hindu students and offer scholarship programs. This centre will educate Hindu diet, Hindu Culture, Hindu exercises ( Yoga) and Hindu Medicine ( Ayurveda).

  HAONA got the apology letter from the aids committee:

Members of HAONA called another protest on 25th June 2005 at 10:30 AM, and handed over the memorandum of Protest.

The memorandum had asked the management of AIDS Committee of Toronto to apologize to Hindus and to print an unconditional and accurately worded apology in the main-stream and Hindu media.
